Reviews

“I really appreciated the format and the information presented. The biggest take away for me is the conversational examples, it can be hard to know what/how to questions something like this in a way that is supportive and productive in ensuring safety. Even though I think the information was more specific to being a friend and sitting in the same room as the person I think much of the information can be transferred to my line of work in which most of my conversations are via telephone.”

“The layout of the course was excellent. The variety of ways to interact with the course and styles of questions helped solidify my knowledge. The graphics that accompanied the facilitator's verbal explanations had a huge impact in keeping me engaged and on my ability to internalize and organize the information in my mind. I never felt overwhelmed by the amount of reading or listening as it was dispersed throughout in small chunks. It is very clear that effort was put in to appeal to different learning styles.”

“I was so impressed with the quality of this training. It helped me better understand how to support someone at each risk level. I feel more confident in talking to people about suicide. I also greatly appreciate the downloadable resources! Great work - thank you!”

“Excellent length - not too much (which could be overwhelming) or too little (not helpful). There was some repetition, however this felt helpful to reinforce key concepts. The flow made sense and was easy to follow. I love how everything was pulled together at the end of each step with a very concrete graph, flow-chart, or simple lists. It makes the information accessible and the resources are concise enough to reference if needed.”
